In my first blog post I introduced a little about who I am currently and my first memory of another culture. Now, I would like to talk a bit more about my passions and how Simply Jenni, LLC and her brands started.

Being married for so long, a mother of 3 adult children and a small child it resets your thoughts and goals. Yes, I was a very young mother and always thought I would be a part of my husband's family business. We tried for years as we were raising our first 3 blessings. Then one day I understood the insanity of trying to fit a round peg into a square hole. It just does not work. That was in spring of 2016, the season of real transformation. That was the time I also didn't realize but was becoming pregnant with our blessing #4. I had just ended the last stint with my dear husband's family business trying one last time, and had decided that I needed to prove something to myself, find some sort of self worth. I enrolled in real estate school, little did I know at the time I was getting an enrollment gift of a new baby. Yes, it was shocking and it took a little while to wrap my head around the changes to come. Remember, I am just about to be 41 years of age and we have 4 grandbabies by now and our youngest is just 6 years away from legal age. Little did I know just how much of a blessing it really was going to be. He is my best friend and teaches me so much about myself and how I need to grow.
Back in 2005 I began to dream. It started out to fill my days of grief. I had recently lost my dear grandfather who was just like my father my whole life. My rock, my best friend. I was lost and really didn't understand how to process and develop coping skills. Fortunately now I understand it was a path I was supposed to follow. In that time I used what I had in me to create. Creating and researching and learning seemed to occupy my time and helped me keep that grief at bay. I have always suffered from chapped lips, not a lot will help and so many things create the irritation. In that time I created 2 formulas of natural based lip balm.
In 2013 I registered the name for a business. Yes it has been some years and in that time I had life happen and always put her on the back burner. To tell the truth this time has allowed me to grow, learn, shape and design. It has also allowed me to mature into who I am and what I really want in a business
Let me introduce you to my passions. We will start with Simply Jenni, LLC, the main squeeze I guess you could say. It started with having a natural skin care line that is earth friendlier. She hasn't changed, she has just grown. Then there is Mossy Raven Apothecary for the side of me that wants to be a little extra in creativity (she will be revealing the product soon). Hatter & Hare is my tea blends we source to share , whether they are from tea leaves themselves or a herbal blend from herbs and spices. They all have their flavors and uses. The Omni Oak which showcases the energy work and teaching side of me.
The Traveling Chica Tribe where you are finding this blog posted. I love to travel and it has been something I have wanted as far back as I can remember. I just know when I get to middle age and older I was going to be able to travel. Yeah those thoughts of the youth, to have dreams and then life and choices decide differently. I have discovered I am on the road where I have had to learn. If I want something in life I have to be the one to make it come true. To make those choices that lays the path to get to my dreams.
To round out the brands is Simply Jenni's Social Alchemy Club. Back in 2000 I wanted to start a wine club. Me being as green as I was and to think I knew anything about wine is funny to laugh at now. I am sure glad I waited on this one. It is designed to help learn as we go, but 23 years ago would have been a train wreck. So, in the fall of 2019 I began with a small group for a wine club. In 2022 I rebranded into a Social Alchemy Club. I have big plans for her in the future. I'm starting to realize what the old saying is "The Sky's The Limit" because when creativity steps in, who knows where she will fly.
